Mahindra has officially introduced the XEV 9S in India, pricing it from ₹19.95 lakh (ex-showroom). This new model becomes the country’s second seven-seater electric SUV,
The XEV 9S will be offered in four variants and packs a long list of modern features. Here’s a closer look at the design, cabin, features, and powertrain details.
Design & Exterior
The Mahindra XEV 9S carries a silhouette similar to the XUV700 but features several EV-specific styling elements that set it apart. At the front, it sports LED DRLs connected by a light bar along with a closed-off grille. The turn indicators are integrated into the DRLs, while the LED projector headlamps sit lower on the bumper.
Along the sides, the SUV gets sharp character lines, flush-type door handles, and 18-inch aerodynamic alloy wheels. At the rear, it shares the XUV700’s taillight design and also includes a connected light bar. A slim body cladding runs around the SUV, adding a subtle rugged touch.
Interior & Features
Inside, the XEV 9S comes with a premium layout featuring leatherette seat upholstery and a leatherette-wrapped steering wheel. A panoramic skyroof elevates the cabin experience, while an illuminated infinity logo adds a stylish touch.

The feature list includes ventilated front seats, a 6-way powered driver seat with manual lumbar adjustment, and auto-folding ORVMs that also tilt down when reversing. The SUV also gets an auto windshield defogger, an auto-dimming IRVM, dual-zone climate control, sliding and reclining second-row seats, a rear wiper and washer, push-button start, automatic headlamps and wipers, tilt and telescopic steering adjustment, and cooled storage in the center console.
