Motorola Signature India Launch: Price, Specs, Snapdragon 8 Gen 5

New Delhi: Motorola has expanded its premium smartphone portfolio in India with the launch of the Motorola Signature, a flagship device powered by Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset. Priced starting at Rs 59,999, the new smartphone targets users looking for high-end performance, luxury design, and long-term software support.

Ultra-Slim Design and Premium Build

One of the key highlights of the Motorola Signature is its ultra-thin 6.99mm body, making it among the slimmest flagship smartphones currently available in India. The device features a quad-curved design and is crafted using aircraft-grade aluminum, giving it a premium finish while maintaining durability.

Despite its slim profile, the smartphone comes with IP68 and IP69 ratings for dust and water resistance, along with MIL-STD-810H military-grade durability certification.

165Hz AMOLED Display

The Motorola Signature sports a 6.8-inch 1.5K LTPO Extreme AMOLED display with a resolution of 2780 × 1264 pixels. The panel supports a 165Hz adaptive refresh rate, up to 6200 nits peak brightness, Dolby Vision, and is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2.

Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 Performance

Under the hood, the device is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 Mobile Platform, built on an advanced 3nm process and paired with the Adreno 840 GPU. Motorola is offering the smartphone in 12GB and 16GB LPDDR5X RAM variants, along with UFS 4.1 storage options of 256GB, 512GB, and up to 1TB.

50MP Triple Rear Camera Setup

In the camera department, the Motorola Signature features a triple 50MP rear camera system. This includes a 50MP primary sensor with a 1/1.28-inch Sony LYT-828 sensor and OIS, a 50MP ultra-wide camera with autofocus and macro capabilities, and a 50MP 3x telephoto lens with OIS and 100x Super Zoom support.

The device supports 8K video recording at 30fps and 4K recording at 60fps with Dolby Vision. For selfies and video calls, there is a 50MP front-facing camera with a Sony sensor.

Android 16 and Long-Term Updates

The smartphone runs on Android 16 out of the box. Motorola has confirmed seven years of Android OS upgrades and security updates, placing the Signature among the few smartphones in India to offer such extended software support.

Battery and Charging

Fueling the Motorola Signature is a 5200mAh battery. It supports 90W TurboPower fast charging, 50W wireless charging, and 10W reverse wireless charging.

Connectivity options include 5G SA/NSA, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6.0, NFC, and USB Type-C 3.2. The device also features stereo speakers tuned by Bose with Dolby Atmos support and an in-display ultrasonic fingerprint sensor for security.

The Motorola Signature price in India is set at:

• Rs 59,999 for the 12GB RAM + 256GB storage variant
• Rs 64,999 for the 16GB RAM + 512GB storage variant
• Rs 69,999 for the 16GB RAM + 1TB storage variant

The smartphone will go on sale starting January 30 through Flipkart, motorola.in, and select offline retail stores.
