Realme has officially announced that the upcoming realme 16 Pro Series will debut in India on January 6, 2026. Teased ahead of its launch, the next generation of the brand’s popular Number Series aims to combine standout design with a strong emphasis on high-resolution portrait photography.
Urban Wild Design with Naoto Fukasawa Collaboration
For the new series, realme has continued its collaboration with renowned industrial designer Naoto Fukasawa. The result is the new “Urban Wild Design” concept, which blends natural textures with modern urban aesthetics.
Key design highlights include:
- Material innovation: Industry-first bio-based organic silicone material
- Ergonomics: Handcrafted “all-nature” curves for enhanced comfort and grip
- Color options: Four Master Design finishes — Master Gold, Master Grey, Camellia Pink, and Orchid Purple
200MP Portrait Camera with LumaColor Technology
Photography takes center stage in the realme 16 Pro Series, with a strong focus on portrait performance. The smartphones will feature a 200MP Portrait Master system powered by a 200MP LumaColor Camera.
According to realme, the camera setup is designed to offer:
- High-definition portrait shots for both individuals and group photos
- Enhanced bokeh effects across multiple focal lengths
- More natural and accurate skin tone reproduction

At the core of this system is the global debut of LumaColor IMAGE, realme’s in-house portrait imaging technology. The brand claims it intelligently balances light and color to create depth-rich images in real-world scenarios. To ensure imaging accuracy, realme has also established the LumaColor IMAGE LAB in collaboration with TÜV Rheinland.
Teaser images showcasing 3.5x and 10x zoom further hint at the return of a periscope telephoto camera.

Realme will reveal the full specifications, pricing, and availability of the realme 16 Pro Series during the official launch event on January 6, 2026. After launch, the smartphones will be available for purchase via Flipkart, realme.com, and offline retail stores across India.
