Samsung Galaxy S26 Leaks Reveal 25W Magnetic Qi2 Charging and New EP-P2900 Charger
Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy S26 series is already creating buzz, and the latest leaks suggest that Samsung is preparing a major upgrade to its wireless charging ecosystem. Fresh retailer data, shared by WinFuture, reveals that the company may introduce 25W magnetic Qi2 wireless charging, a significant jump from the current 15W limit on Samsung’s existing charging pads.

New EP-P2900 Charger With Full Qi2.2 Support
According to the leak, Samsung is developing a new wireless charger under model number EP-P2900, which will reportedly be one of the brand’s first chargers to fully embrace the Qi2.2 magnetic standard. This is a notable shift from Samsung’s present “Qi2 Ready” approach that still depends on additional accessories instead of built-in phone magnets.
The EP-P2900 is said to be a successor to the current EP-P2400 15W Qi2 charger, featuring a circular design to align properly with the magnetic coil orientation required by Qi2. Retail listings also mention a dark grey colour option and wide compatibility with Galaxy S devices, Galaxy Z foldables/flip models, and Galaxy Buds.
Charging Speeds May Differ Across the S26 Lineup
If the leaks are accurate, not all models in the S26 family will receive the full 25W magnetic charging speed:
- Galaxy S26 Ultra: Up to 25W wireless charging
- Galaxy S26 / S26+: Expected to support around 20W wireless charging

There could also be differences in wired charging performance:
- Galaxy S26: 25W wired charging
- Galaxy S26+: Up to 45W
- Galaxy S26 Ultra: Possibly 60W using Samsung’s Super Fast Charging 3.0
If confirmed, the Ultra model would become one of Samsung’s fastest-charging flagship phones ever.
Built-In Magnets Likely for Galaxy S26 Series
For Samsung to truly offer fast and stable magnetic charging, the phones themselves need internal magnetic rings. Current leaks strongly suggest that at least some models in the Galaxy S26 series will finally include built-in magnets, similar to Apple’s MagSafe technology.
This shift would eliminate the need for magnet-compatible cases, improve accessory support, and enhance the overall wireless charging experience across Samsung’s ecosystem.
