Missed a WhatsApp Call? You Can Now Leave Voice or Video Notes

WhatsApp has introduced a new feature that allows users to send a voice message or video note when a call is not answered. The update is aimed at making communication easier by letting callers share a quick message instead of calling again or typing a long text.

The feature is available on both Android and iOS platforms and appears automatically after a WhatsApp voice or video call goes unanswered.

Once a call is missed, WhatsApp shows two options on the screen — Voice Message and Video Message. Users can tap either option to record a short message explaining the reason for the call.

To send a voice note, users need to press and hold the microphone icon and speak. For video notes, holding the camera icon allows users to record a short video, which is sent directly in the chat after recording.

The recorded message appears in the chat window, allowing the recipient to listen or watch it later at their convenience.

This option is visible only after a missed call and works on the latest version of WhatsApp. Users who do not see the feature are advised to update the app from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store.

With this addition, WhatsApp aims to reduce missed connections and offer a more personal way for users to communicate when calls go unanswered.
