Vivo has launched two new phones in India — the Vivo X300 FE and the Vivo X300 Ultra. With these two, the X300 series now has four phones in total. The X300 FE is more expensive than the previous model, mainly because some parts used to make it are in short supply.

Software & Display
The phone runs on Android 16 with Vivo’s own interface called OriginOS 6. Vivo promises 5 years of Android updates and 7 years of security updates, which is great for long-term use.
The X300 FE has a 6.31-inch AMOLED screen with a resolution of 1216 × 2640 pixels. It supports a 120Hz refresh rate, meaning scrolling and animations look very smooth. The screen can go up to 5,000 nits brightness, making it easy to see even in bright sunlight. It also has HDR10+ support and a blue light filter for eye comfort.
Performance
Inside, the phone runs on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chip — one of the most powerful mobile processors available today. It is built on a 3nm process, which makes it fast and efficient. The phone comes with 12GB RAM and up to 512GB storage, so it handles multitasking and heavy apps with ease. It also has a liquid cooling system to prevent the phone from getting too hot.
Cameras
The back has three cameras, all tuned by Zeiss — a well-known German optics brand:
- 50MP main camera with Sony sensor and image stabilisation
- 50MP telephoto camera with up to 100x zoom and image stabilisation
- 8MP ultrawide camera with a wide 115-degree view
The front camera is also 50MP with autofocus, great for selfies and video calls. You can shoot videos in 4K at 60fps.

Battery and Connectivity
The phone has a big 6,500mAh battery. It supports 90W fast wired charging and 40W wireless charging, so it charges up quickly. For connectivity, you get 5G, Bluetooth 6.0, NFC, USB-C, Wi-Fi, GPS, and NavIC. The phone is thin and light at just 7.99mm thick.
Price and Sale Date
The Vivo X300 FE costs Rs 79,999 for the 12GB RAM and 256GB storage version. If you want more storage (512GB), it will cost Rs 89,999. Buyers using SBI, IDFC First Bank, or Axis Bank cards can get up to 10% off instantly.
The phone goes on sale from May 14 on Flipkart, Amazon, and Vivo’s own website. It comes in three colours — Lilac Purple, Noir Black, and Urban Olive.
Vivo is also selling camera add-ons — a Zeiss Telephoto Extender Gen 2 lens for Rs 15,999 and a telephoto kit for Rs 3,999.
Final Thought
The Vivo X300 FE is a powerful phone with top-end features — great display, strong processor, good cameras, and a big battery. But at Rs 79,999, it is priced more like a flagship phone than a budget-friendly “FE” model. If you are okay with the price, it offers a lot for the money.
