The Motorola Edge 70 Max is officially arriving in India. Motorola has confirmed it will unveil its latest ultra-premium flagship on July 15, 2026, at 12:00 PM IST. Positioned as the new crown jewel of the Edge 70 lineup, the phone will be sold exclusively through Flipkart and Motorola’s official website.

Expected Price and Launch Variations
Market insiders tip the phone to land in the highly competitive ₹50,000 to ₹55,000 price bracket. This places it directly above the current Edge 70 Pro+. When it hits shelves, buyers can choose between three distinct colorways: Glacier Blue, Onyx Black, and Sage Green.
Powerhouse Performance
Motorola is pulling out all the stops for mobile gamers and power users. The device draws its horsepower from Qualcomm’s top-tier Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 processor, paired with up to 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM. According to early internal tests, this combination pushes the phone’s AnTuTu benchmark score past the 3 million mark. To keep thermals in check during heavy workloads, Motorola has implemented a 5,500mm² “ArcticMesh” vapor cooling chamber. Gamers will also appreciate native support for 120FPS gameplay in BGMI.
Display and Design Shake-up
In a departure from Motorola’s traditional curved aesthetics, the Edge 70 Max adopts a boxier, premium design featuring a flat aluminum frame and a glass back.
- The Screen: A massive 6.82-inch Quad HD+ LTPO AMOLED flat display.
- The Speed: A 144Hz adaptive refresh rate for fluid scrolling.
- The Brightness: A record-shattering 7,000 nits of peak brightness.
- The Durability: Built to withstand the elements, it features Corning Gorilla Glass 7i protection alongside dual IP68 and IP69 ratings against water and dust.
Battery and Next-Gen Charging
Battery anxiety shouldn’t be an issue thanks to a massive 7,100mAh battery squeezed into the chassis. While it charges quickly via 90W TurboPower wired charging, the real highlight is the inclusion of 25W Qi2 magnetic wireless charging. This marks a significant shift for the brand, bringing MagSafe-style magnetic accessory compatibility to the Android ecosystem.
AI-Enhanced Optics
The rear of the device showcases a square camera island housing a 50MP Sony LYT-710 primary sensor complete with Optical Image Stabilization (OIS). On the software side, the device runs HelloUI out of the box. Motorola has also added a physical “Moto AI Key” on the left frame. This dedicated button gives users instant access to “Qira”, the brand’s on-device AI assistant designed to handle real-time speech translation, productivity tasks, and smart photo editing.
